The Stabilization Department focuses on empowering individuals and families by addressing essential needs such as housing, utilities, and food security. Through programs like rental assistance, energy support, and our food pantry, we provide resources that foster stability and self-sufficiency. We also offer case management, financial coaching, and tax preparation services, ensuring a comprehensive approach to supporting our community.

Rental support, utilities, food pantry, case management, financial coaching, and tax prep services.

We serve residents of Pike and Washington Townships, prioritizing those experiencing hardship or crisis.

Each program varies — some support is available immediately, others require verification and eligibility review.

On average, 3–5 business days depending on document submission and funding availability.

ID, proof of income, lease/rental agreement, recent utility bill, and other relevant paperwork.

We recommend setting up an appointment in advance. Walk-ins are welcome but may experience wait times.

Christel House Indianapolis

Christel House DORS is a tuition-free high school for adults 18 and older who want to earn their diploma. In partnership with Fay Biccard Glick Neighborhood Center, DORS Northwest launched in August 2023 to support the center’s clients and community.
